Teacher Appreciation week is May 5th - May 9th.  To show our STAFF how much they help us BLOOM, the 5th grade is taking orders for carnations for $3 each. Each carnation will come with a custom note and will be given to the staff on Friday, May 9th. You may buy as many as you would like.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is set for Thursday, April 24th.  Students will shop during the school day.

You may send your child with cash on the day of the book fair, or if you prefer not to send cash, you can set up an eWallet. Cash, credit card, and eWallet will all be accepted during the sale.

How to Set Up an eWallet 

(A new eWallet must be set up for each book fair.)

1-Go to Scholastic Book Fairs.

2- Select "Get Started" and either Log In or Create an Account

3- Fill in your child's name as Recipient. Add your child's teacher and grade level.

4- Add money to the eWallet. (If you had eWallet funds left over from a previous fair and didn’t spend them online, select the option to add an e-gift card. You will see any funds you have remaining.) 

5- You may also send your child's eWallet link to family and friends and they may also add funds.  Funds in the eWallet that are not used during the book fair can be used online or at future book fairs.

 *Scholastic will not refund to your CC.

If you would like to help our staff members build their classroom book libraries, consider uploading book funds to Mackay Staff eWallets. To access their eWallet links click HERE.

They will be able to use these funds at the bookfair.

This year in lieu of Field Day Shirts the HSA will be providing each student with a bandanna in their team color. They will be distributed closer to the field day date.

*The HSA will also provide water for water bottle refilling.

*The HSA will also provide ice pops for the entire school.

This year the HSA will provide the entire school with BRIGHT ORANGE Mackay Field Trip Shirts.  (5th grade has already received theirs)

Shirts will be distributed in May. The shirts are yours to keep.  In an effort to be budget conscious as well as environmentally friendly, we ask you to keep them in a sage place as they will be used again for your student(s) future years at Mackay.

All field trips will require a packed lunch.  If you order lunch through our lunch program, please check your orders and delete for the day of your field trips.

*If you don't delete your order, the food will be waiting at the school and will be sent home.

Lunch ordering closes every Tuesday at 7pm for lunch the following week. We encourage you to order now through March and make changes if needed to ensure you don't miss the weekly deadline.
